Filics is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to own end-to-end PCB development for the next generation of autonomous robots in Munich. You will handle requirements, schematic, layout, testing and validation, and work closely with Embedded Software, Mechanical, and Production to ensure robust, scalable designs.
The role is on-site/hybrid, based in Munich. We expect several years of electronics design in R&D settings, strong PCB/layout skills (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD), and hands-on debugging with
pplwise is a recruiting consultancy for fast-growing technology companies across Europe. Through Recruiting as a Service and Executive Search, we fill key roles for our clients, from start-ups to publicly listed companies. We are filling this position for our client Filics.
Filics Filics is reinventing intralogistics with autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) that change how material moves. Its double-runner system makes Filics the first and only AMR that can drive through load carriers such as Euro pallets. This breaks with forklift logic and sets a new standard for efficiency. Filics is a small, hands-on team that solves hard problems with engineering excellence. Leadership goes to those who take initiative and consistently deliver.
As Senior Electrical Engineer (m/f/d) at Filics, you will design the electronics at the core of the next generation of robots. This is an on-site/hybrid role in Munich, close to engineering and assembly. Filics doesn't just use off-the-shelf components. It builds its own custom IP. The robots run on advanced boards that cover a wide range of electrical engineering. On one end is high power, such as battery and motor controllers. On the other end are high-speed interfaces like PCIe, USB and MIPI CSI. The real challenge is making all these subsystems work together as one system. Many of these problems have no textbook solution. Solving them takes solid experience, a deep understanding of the physics and a creative mind. The EE team is small, and the robot is far from finished. You'll own your boards end to end : requirements, system design, schematic, layout, design review, sourcing, manufacturing, testing and validation. You'll keep owning them for as long as they're in production. You'll work closely with Embedded Software, Mechanical Engineering, Software and the Production team. As Filics moves from prototypes to series production, your designs need to work reliably at scale , not just in the lab.
