Join a dynamic and complex manufacturing environment, overseeing planning across a large-scale site producing over 10 distinct products and projects simultaneously. This role requires close collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including other manufacturing sites, cross-functional departments, product lines, Group Planning, Project Management, and regional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Site-Wide Planning Activities: Drive and coordinate all planning efforts across departments such as Project Management, Production, Testing, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Logistics.
- Ensure Timely Project Delivery: Guarantee that all customer contractual milestones are met on schedule across all active projects.
- Align Planning Across Functions and Levels: Maintain consistency and synchronisation between strategic, tactical, and operational planning across various functions including development, operations, and program management.
- Capacity Planning & Resource Modeling: Develop and update models for planning capacity, focusing on workforce requirements and skillsets.
- Training & Development: Design and oversee planning-related training programs, including Planning Academies, mentoring initiatives, and certification pathways for Project Planners.
- Schedule Integration: Ensure seamless coordination between project timelines and operational schedules.
- End-to-End Planning Oversight: Provide a comprehensive view across Strategic (S&OP), Tactical (SIOP/P&FM), and Operational planning layers.
- Process Ownership: Define and continuously improve processes for capacity and resource management.
- Tool & Data Governance: Establish the planning tools ecosystem, including rules for application and integration of sub-schedules.
- Workload Management: Consolidate workload data and deliver effective tools and templates to support S&OP processes.
- Bid Planning Leadership: Lead planning efforts for bids, ensuring robust and competitive schedules with clear milestones and risk assessments.
Candidate Requirements
- 10+ years in planning, project management or production
- Experience within an MTO/ETO production environment
- Fluent in German and English
