Nordex is seeking a Global Logistics Engineer to support international collaboration across suppliers, production sites and internal stakeholders. You will develop and update standards for nacelle component packaging and oversee transport security across the global supply chain.

The role emphasizes technical packaging, corrosion protection, and international logistics processes, with CAD experience (Siemens NX or Creo) and a willingness to travel. Fluency in English and German is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, SCM, Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of five years in technical logistics role or machinery, plant engineering or heavy-lift industry.
• Strong knowledge of industrial packaging, corrosion protection, cargo securing, and international transport processes.
• Experience with CAD tools such as Siemens NX or Creo.
• Structured, independent, solution-oriented work style with initiative and accountability.
• Excellent communication with international teams, suppliers and stakeholders; willingness to travel.
• Fluent English and good German, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update global logistics specifications for nacelle components and packaging per international standards.
• Define packaging, corrosion protection, handling, loading, cargo securing, and transport suitability requirements.
• Calculate load distributions and review/approve cargo securing, lifting and lashing concepts for international transport.
• Maintain logistics specifications in a PLM-based document management system.
• Provide technical support to suppliers, service providers, and internal stakeholders on packaging, transport and damage prevention.
• Support handling of transport damages, insurance claims and preventive measures.

Job description

As a Global Logistics Engineer, you support international collaboration between suppliers, production sites, and internal stakeholders across the global supply chain. In this role, you develop standards and processes for the safe and efficient transportation of nacelle components and contribute to the continuous improvement of global logistics solutions.

YOUR TASKS

• Develop and update global logistics specifications for nacelle components and their packaging in compliance with international standards.
• Define requirements for packaging, corrosion protection, material handling, loading, cargo securing, and transport suitability.
• Calculate load distributions and review, assess, and approve cargo securing, lifting, and lashing concepts for international transportation.
• Maintain and manage logistics specifications within a PLM-based document management system.
• Provide technical support to suppliers, logistics service providers, and internal stakeholders regarding packaging, transportation, and damage prevention concepts.
• Support the handling of transport damages, insurance claims, and claim management activities, while developing and implementing preventive measures.

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of professional experience in a technical logistics role or within the machinery, plant engineering, or heavy-lift industry.
• Strong knowledge of industrial packaging, corrosion protection, cargo securing, and international transportation and logistics processes.
• Solid mechanical and technical understanding, ideally with experience using CAD software such as Siemens NX or Creo.
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style with a high level of initiative and accountability.
• Strong communication skills and experience working with international teams, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders, combined with a willingness to travel internationally.
• Fluent English and good German language skills, both written and spoken.
