The group offers a key legal leadership role focusing on contract management, regulatory compliance and governance, with direct exposure to senior management in a multinational setting.

Formación

• Fully qualified lawyer with state examinations or an equivalent qualification.
• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Experience in international corporate or business-law environments.
• Strong expertise in contract, corporate, compliance, IP and dispute resolution.
• Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation and stakeholder skills.

Responsabilidades

• Draft, review and negotiate supplier, service and cooperation agreements.
• Select and coordinate external counsel, ensuring quality and cost control.
• Coordinate legal matters with international subsidiaries and ensure consistent standards.
• Design and deliver internal trainings on legal topics and policies.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal risks in operations and strategy.
• Manage litigation and disputes with external law firms as needed.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, including data protection, competition and environmental laws.
• Advise on corporate governance and company-wide governance issues.

Founded in 1908 in Velbert, Germany, we are an independent, family-owned company with around 7,500 employees at locations in Europe, America and Asia and achieved sales of more than EUR 1.2 billion in the financial year 2023.

Your Responsibilities

• Contract Management: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including supplier contracts, service agreements, and cooperation agreements.
• External Counsel Management: Selecting, coordinating, and ensuring the quality of external legal advisors with a focus on efficiency, quality, and cost control.
• International Coordination: Managing and coordinating legal matters with international subsidiaries and ensuring consistent application of legal standards across jurisdictions.
• Training & Knowledge Transfer: Designing and delivering internal training sessions on relevant legal topics and corporate policies.
• Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal risks in operational business activities as well as strategic initiatives.
• Dispute Resolution: Managing litigation and out-of-court disputes in close cooperation with external law firms.
• Regulatory & Compliance: Ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements, particularly in the areas of data protection, competition law, and environmental law.
• Corporate Governance: Advising on corporate law matters and company-wide governance issues.

Your Profile

• Fully qualified lawyer, evidenced by completion of state examinations or an equivalent legal qualification.
• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Professional experience in a comparable role, ideally within the legal department of an internationally operating company or in a business law-focused law firm.
• Strong expertise in contract law, corporate law, compliance, intellectual property, and dispute resolution.
• Excellent analytical skills combined with strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
