Job summary

Freudenberg Group seeks a seasoned professional to develop a global CAPEX and facility management category strategy and lead cross‑functional tenders worldwide. You will manage supplier relationships, drive cost savings, and support investment analyses with TCO and make/buy decisions.

The role requires a mechanical/industrial engineering background, 5–10 years in strategic sourcing, SAP MM in S/4HANA experience, and fluent English and German. Travel up to 30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 5–10 years in strategic sourcing; CAPEX, construction or Facility Management experience is a plus.
• Proficient with SAP MM in S/4HANA and BI tools.
• Fluent in English and German; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills; travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities:

• Development and implementation of a global category strategy for CAPEX and Facility management
• Carrying out complex CAPEX/Facility Mangement tenders on a global level and supporting implementation in cooperation with the departments (Engineering etc.)
• Supplier relationship management (contract management, supplier evaluations, benchmarking, and escalation management)
• Ensuring achievement of Klüber savings targets
• Supporting investment projects through TCO analyses, make-or-buy decisions, and investment analyses
• Assisting with operational purchasing topics, such as invoice and goods receipt bookings, scheduling with suppliers, etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field of study
• 5 to 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing (experience in CAPEX, construction, and Facility Management environments is a plus), ideally with knowledge of SAP (MM module in S/4HANA) as well as Business Intelligence
• Fluent in English and German, additional languages (e.g., Spanish, French, Chinese, or Portuguese) are a plus
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication skills

• Willingness to travel at least 30%
