Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking a Game Economy Designer to design and balance in-game currencies, stores, progression and events. You will collaborate with Game Design, Data Analytics and Monetization to maximize both fun and profitability, using metrics to steer balanced decisions.

The role focuses on balancing engagement loops, event pricing, and ongoing economy tuning while coordinating across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced mobile game environment.

• Define and balance gameplay and progression loops for engagement and retention.

• Analyze retention, ARPU, LTV, DAU and propose data-driven adjustments.
• Set pricing, costs and rewards for items, upgrades and events.
• Monitor releases and events, identifying opportunities for economic optimization.
• Document and continuously update balance and progression formulas.

Responsibilities

• Design and tune in-game economy systems (currencies, stores, progression, rewards, rarity, events, etc.)
• Define and balance gameplay and progression loops to ensure healthy engagement and retention
• Collaborate with Game Design, Data Analytics, and Monetization teams to create experiences that maximize fun and profitability
• Analyze behavioral metrics (retention, ARPU, LTV, DAU, etc.) and propose data‑driven adjustments
• Set pricing, costs, and rewards for items, upgrades, and events
• Monitor releases and in-game events, identifying opportunities for economic optimization
• Document and continuously update balance and progression formulas

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of DDTank (a test will be applied as part of the selection process)
• Previous experience in Game Design, LiveOps, or Mobile game economy
• Strong understanding of free-to-play systems, monetization, and retention
• Strong foundation in statistics and data analysis (Excel, Google Sheets, or BI tools)
• Ability to translate numbers into balanced design decisions
• Clear communication and enjoyment of working in multidisciplinary teams
