We are looking to recruit a fully funded PhD position in supply chain simulation (d/m/f) in the Department of Management Sciences starting on January 1st, 2026 at our Sankt Augustin campus.
Digital twins are considered a key technology of Industry 4.0. They make it possible to represent complex supply chains transparently, increase their resilience, and track sustainability goals in measurable ways. In the DINGOL research project, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and Conet, we are developing – together with the University of Applied Sciences Reutlingen – an open framework for Digital Supply Chain Twins (DSCT). This provides the foundation for companies to simulate and optimize supply chains in real time and align them with sustainability criteria.
