autarc (YC S24) is seeking a Fullstack Product Manager in Berlin to join their team focused on international expansion of B2B services like government subsidy applications and financing options for customers. The role is approximately 60% frontend, requiring strong TypeScript, React, and Node expertise. Applicants should be AI-literate and have solid SQL skills, along with a product mindset to turn ambiguous requirements into stable, user-facing features.
We offer benefits like flexible equipment options, 26 vacation days, and regular team events, all while promoting a flexible hybrid work structure.
Company
Founded in Berlin, autarc is a ~40 person start-up who were part of Y Combinator’s S24 batch in San Francisco. Our team consists of people in Sales, Tech and Operations, with the Engineering & Product department currently ~20 people, as we continue to grow throughout the year.
You'll be part of a newly formed team aimed at helping with international expansion: Services. On top of their monthly subscription, our customers can book additional services through autarc — such as government subsidy applications (e.g. KfW), energy performance certificates, and more. This area is scaling rapidly and we're hiring a dedicated PM to match.
We're looking at introducing a financing option for our customers that offers them a buy now, pay later option. That means we'll be looking to help our users in maximising their potential to install solar panels and heat pumps given homeowners that aren't in a position to spend all of their savings will be able to distribute their costs.
In addition there will be factoring tasks where our users will pay an amount in which autarc will take a cut later on. This is centred around B2B lending, in which we will need to conduct credit checks and perform underwriting tasks.
Other things you'll do will include:
This role is Fullstack but Frontend-leaning, with the split being approx. 60/40.
If your application is successful, you will participate in the following:
Right now, 25% of CO2 emissions in Europe are caused by heating our buildings. In order for this to be reduced, the transition towards renewable energy needs to be simplified and made more accessible. There are too few installers to meet the growing demand for heat pumps, and a solution to match this trend needs to be brought to the market.
autarc is developing the leading operating system (OS) for heat pump installers, enabling a more digital and efficient installation process for heat pumps.
Through this, autarc is reducing the hurdles to decarbonizing single-family homes and small apartment buildings in Europe, with the goal to help with the planning and designing of 1 million heat pumps by 2030.
