Your Mission

Traversals is looking for experienced Full Stack Software Engineers (FSSEs) with innovative problem-solving skills fueled by a desire to help design, build, and scale our Data Fusion Platform. The mission of an FSSE is to design and build capabilities that let users collect, visualize and interact with their data to meet their analytical needs. To achieve that mission, FSSEs are involved in all stages of the product development and deployment lifecycle: idea generation, user feedback, planning, design, prototyping, execution, shipping, and iteration.

Technologies We Use

• Java and Spring Boot 2 for the core framework and a combination of Java and Python for the data analysis.
• Typescript, React and MaterialUI for our front-end development.
• DSE Cassandra, DSE Graph and PostgreSQL for storing data.
• Microservices, Serverless, Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform for running and scaling the system.
• State-of-the-art build tooling, e.g. Gradle, Terraform, Github and Github Actions.

Your Profile

• Expertise in the design and operation of Microservices and/or Serverless architectures.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, e.g. Apache Cassandra, Graph databases, e.g. DSE Graph, and SQL databases, e.g. PostgreSQL.
• Experience in API development with REST and GraphQL.
• Experience with automated testing. Knowledge of when and what to test.
• Interest in DevOps, not shy to reach out for terminal. You are willing to build software in a “You build it, you run it” manner. Ideally, experience with Docker and container orchestration solutions (Kubernetes).
• Proactive problem solver. You leave code and processes in a better shape than when you first encountered them.
• Passionate about working with talented teammates. Your heart beats for receiving and giving feedback, to grow both personally and as an engineer.
• Interest and passion to learn and experiment with new technologies.
• Deep understanding of agile principles and values.
• Very strong written and spoken English skills.
