Group Financial Controller
Location: Wiehl in Germany (office based)

Reporting line: Management
To strengthen our finance team, we are looking for a committed and reliable personality with a strong understanding of numbers and an international mindset.
Your Tasks
- Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts for all four country entities
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights to management
- Monitor key financial KPIs and trends across markets
- Support strategic decision‑making with financial modelling and scenario planning
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with local GAAP and group standards
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements in each country (e.g., HGB in Germany, FRS in UK, PCG in France)
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors in each jurisdiction
- Maintain documentation for intercompany transactions and transfer pricing policies
- Support regulatory filings and tax declarations across countries
Accounting Oversight
- Supervise and support local accounting teams or external service providers
- Ensure accurate and timely month‑end closings for each entity
- Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Monitor intercompany balances and ensure proper elimination in group consolidation
- Oversee fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
Treasury & Cash Management
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity across all entities
- Manage intercompany funding and cash pooling arrangements
- Coordinate foreign currency transactions and hedging strategies
- Liaise with banks and financial institutions in different countries
ERP & Systems Management
- Oversee the use and integration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across countries
- Ensure consistency in chart of accounts, cost centers, and reporting structures
- Drive automation and digitalization of finance processes using AI‑supported tools
- Train and support finance teams in system usage and upgrades
- Act as the key finance contact for international coordination between Germany, UK, France, and the fourth country
- Facilitate regular communication and alignment with country managers and finance teams
- Support group‑wide initiatives such as cost optimization, pricing strategies, and investment planning
- Ensure cultural and regulatory nuances are considered in financial decisions
Strategic Projects
- Lead or support M&A activities, including financial due diligence and integration
- Participate in strategic planning and business reviews
- Implement best practices in financial governance and internal controls
- Contribute to ESG reporting and sustainability initiatives, if applicable
Your profile
- Completed commercial training with a focus on accounting or comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting
- Very good written and spoken English and German skills (for international communication)
- Confident handling of Business Central or comparable ERP systems
- Interest in digital solutions and openness to new technologies
- Structured, careful and independent way of working
- Ability to work in a team, discretion and sense of responsibility
