sewts.VELUM, a Munich-based deep tech scale-up, seeks a hands-on Chief of Staff to work directly with the founders on strategy, fundraising, and execution. You will own cross-functional projects, structure board materials, and help turn ambiguity into clear next steps while shaping the company’s growth path across Europe and the US.

This role offers direct exposure to the founders, ownership from day one, and a fast-paced, high-impact environment where priorities shift and strategic thinking

Qualifikationen

• Experience in management consulting or high-ownership/structure-first environments.
• Ideally, experience in a (Deep) Tech Scaleup.
• Proactive, self-driven working style and a drive to make things happen.
• Strong analytical and structuring skills; comfortable building a model or deck from a blank page.
• Excellent English communication; German is a plus.
• Comfortable operating with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
• Ambitious to reach Chief of Staff and join C-Level.

Your mission

Robots couldn't handle soft materials. We fixed that.

Now we're scaling it into reality - and scaling a deep tech company means the founders can't be everywhere at once. We need someone who can close that gap.

At sewts, we build the intelligence that lets robots manipulate deformable materials like textiles, towels, cables with human‑like precision. Our systems are already deployed in production across Europe and the US.

We are building a foundational technology stack called sewts.JUPITER. JUPITER uses genAI to realistically simulate the behaviour of deformable and soft objects, creating the computer vision models and grabbing strategies behind our machines.

This is where strategy meets execution. And at this stage, nothing runs on autopilot.

Reality Check

This isn't a role with a fixed job description. Priorities shift, the founders will need different things in different weeks, and you'll often be figuring out the right approach as you go.

Your profile

Who You Are

• Experience in management consulting or some high-ownership / structure-first environment
• Ideally, experience in a (Deep) Tech Scaleup
• A proactive, self-driven working style - and a genuine passion for making things happen (a “Macher:in” mentality)
• Strong analytical and structuring skills; comfortable building a model or a deck from a blank page
• Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus
• Comfortable operating with ambiguity and shifting priorities
• Ambitious to reach Chief of Staff position and join our C-Level

Nice to Have

• Prior exposure to fundraising, M&A, or corporate finance
• Interest in robotics, physical AI, or hardware‑enabled businesses
