Jobtailor in Hamburg seeks a seasoned Solutions Engineer to embed with strategic aviation customers on-site for extended engagements.

You will lead the full customer lifecycle from early discussions through adoption, optimization, and expansion, and you will design and deliver hands-on training for operations and IT teams.

This role requires 8+ years in software engineering or systems integration, deep API and data-flow expertise, and fluency in English; travel across Europe is expected.

Aufgaben

• Embed with strategic aviation customers on-site for extended periods to become a trusted operations partner.
• Lead the full customer engagement lifecycle from initial talks through adoption and expansion.
• Lead onboarding and adoption of Soji AI across maintenance, engineering, operations, and asset management.
• Own value realization and measurable outcomes while building relationships from technicians to executives.
• Design and deliver hands-on training for operational personnel and IT teams.
• Establish customer-side champions and monitor usage to identify friction points.
• Gather structured feedback and convert insights into actionable improvements for Product and Engineering.
• Translate customer requirements into scalable product enhancements.
• Distill customer-specific requests into reusable core-platform capabilities.
• Identify additional use cases and growth opportunities within existing accounts.
• Support upsell initiatives and new module rollouts.
• Collaborate with Sales and Business Development to scope pilots and drive account expansion.
• Develop deep knowledge of Soji AI architecture, integrations, and data flows.
• Diagnose integration challenges and assist with root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with internal engineers to resolve technical issues.
• Contribute to defining and scaling the forward-deployed engineering function.
• Establish best practices for long-term customer embedding.
• Mentor future hires and formalize processes bridging Product, Engineering and Customer Success.
• Grow into broader leadership responsibilities across Product, Engineering or Customer Success.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, systems integration, or a related technical field
• Proven track record of deploying solutions in real-world or enterprise environments
• Ability to design, read, and debug code
• Deep understanding of system architecture, APIs, data flows, and infrastructure
• Hands-on experience integrating SaaS platforms or enterprise systems into customer IT ecosystems
• Experience across cloud and on-prem environments
• Experience connecting APIs, managing data pipelines, and navigating security and compliance constraints
• Ability to diagnose integration challenges independently and collaborate with customer IT teams and internal engineers
• Ability to translate operational requirements into structured, scalable product inputs
• Understanding of how operational impact connects to commercial growth
• Experience or strong familiarity with the aviation industry, particularly airlines, MROs, CAMOs, lessors, or asset managers
• Understanding of aircraft maintenance workflows, operational processes, and regulatory environments
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfort working embedded on-site for extended periods and in customer-facing environments
• Ability to take ownership of outcomes and operate autonomously
• Initiative, strategic thinking, and ambition to grow into broader leadership responsibilities
