Role overview

The position sits within a newly formed team dedicated to closing the gap between AI strategy and production deployment for major enterprise clients. Work spans the full lifecycle of an initiative, from the initial idea through to a live system delivering measurable business value. This is a founding-team role where engineers help shape both the technical solutions and the way the team operates, working directly with senior decision-makers rather than through layers of handoff.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and end-to-end technical delivery of AI solutions, from early scoping and strategy through production deployment and outcome measurement.
• Design and build agentic systems, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and large language model integrations inside real-world enterprise environments.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools as part of the daily workflow to build features, accelerate reviews, and stand up deployment pipelines.
• Engage from the very first strategic conversation, helping frame the problem and contributing to the commercial direction alongside senior stakeholders.
• Stay accountable for the outcome, shepherding the solution into production rather than handing off once a specification is finalised.
• Present and defend technical choices directly with executive audiences on the client side.

Requirements

• A founder- and product-oriented mindset, taking ownership of the entire outcome rather than a single workstream.
• Several years of hands-on engineering experience at a senior level, paired with the ability to think beyond code into architecture, strategy, and business impact.
• A completed degree (Bachelor's or higher) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field.
• German at C1 level or above, plus full professional proficiency in English.
• Willingness to work on-site with clients on a regular basis.
• Comfort learning quickly and operating effectively inside unfamiliar, often highly regulated environments.

Nice to have

• Exposure to one or more of the following sectors: financial services, transportation and logistics, energy and utilities, life sciences, healthcare, public sector, automotive, or defence.
• Prior experience taking initiatives from a blank-page concept through to a production system that created measurable value.
