TEKsystems in Cupertino, CA is seeking an expert embedded firmware engineer for a contract role. You will design and implement embedded firmware in C/C++ on ARM, and develop software for platforms running RTOS or embedded Linux.

Collaborating with RF, SW, DSP, FPGA and HW teams, you will aid in hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation of devices used in wireless products across the globe.

Description

Within Instrument Engineering, this team focuses on designing and producing precision RF and Analog Test Equipment. This equipment is used for calibrating and testing various wireless technologies, including cellular, 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth, mmWave, UWB, and NFC, in millions of Apple devices like iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Watches.

The team works on developing embedded firmware for next-generation wireless communication products. They collaborate with cross-functional teams, including RF system engineers, software engineers, DSP engineers, FPGA logic designers, and hardware engineers, to create embedded software that is crucial for product development.

• Experience designing embedded firmware in C or C++.

• Recent development experience in Linux, parallel processing, multi-core, or multi-threaded software development.

Responsibilities

• Designing embedded firmware in C and C++ on ARM processors.
• Developing firmware for platforms running RTOS, embedded Linux, and bare metal firmware.
• Working on hardware bring-up, debugging, and using lab instruments like JTAG, Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and Spectrum Analyzers

You will work with other cross-functional team members – RF system engineers, SW engineers, DSP engineers, FPGA logic designers & HW engineers to design/develop embedded SW that is instrumental in creating products loved all over the globe. Support wireless technologies including cellular, 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth, mmWave, UWB, and NFC. This is a lead position.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $90.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
