Zusammenfassung

Hitachi Energy Sweden AB seeks a Fire Engineer to join HVDC and safety projects, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities and supporting design, testing and commissioning to ensure budgeted, safe outcomes.

Based in Ludvika (Sweden), Mannheim (Germany) or Glasgow (Scotland), you will act as design authority, prepare project documents, and interact with customers and contractors to deliver high-quality fire detection and protection solutions.

Qualifikationen

  • Degree in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety, Risk Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of fire codes, standards and regulations.
  • Experience with fire modeling or related analytical methods.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Howyou’llmake an impact
  • Ensure fire detection and fire protection system designscomply withapplicable standards, regulations, and HVDC-specific requirements.
  • Develop andmaintainrequirement specifications, technical documentation, and design deliverables based on customer requirements, industry standards, and local regulations.
  • Coordinate technical interfaces with multiple engineering disciplines throughout all project phases, from design and engineering through testing and commissioning.
  • Proactivelyidentifypotential technical challenges, risks, and project constraints, and develop mitigation plans to ensure successful project execution.
  • Support the onboarding, training, and coaching of new team members andprovidetechnical guidance to customers whenrequired.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and engineering teams acrossdifferent functionsand geographical locations, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Participate in regular project meetings,monitorprogress, and taketimelyactions to address technical issues and project needs.
  • Develop fire detection and protection system concepts for HVDC tenders, includingidentifyingrequired clarifications, assumptions, and deviations for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support tender cost estimation and budgeting activities related to fire detection and protection systems.
  • Perform technical risk assessments of proposed tender solutions and implementappropriate mitigationmeasures to ensure robust and compliant designs
  • Develop andmaintainFire Concepts / Fire Strategies for buildings and HVDC facilities, translating fire safetyobjectivesinto compliant and practical fire protection solutions.
Your Background
  • Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety, Risk Engineering, ora relatedfield.
  • Knowledge of fire codes, standards, regulations, and fire safety principles, with the ability to apply them in practical engineering environments.
  • Experience with fire modeling, fire simulation tools, or related analytical methods used to assess fire safety and performance requirements.
  • Strong communicationand collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diversestakeholdersand explain technical concepts clearly.
