The Role
The Financial Officer will play a key strategic and operational role in managing the company's financial health. This includes financial planning, budgeting, risk management, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. The person will act as a financial advisor to the CEO and take ownership of financial strategy and reporting.
What You'll Do
- Oversee all financial operations and activities, including planning, forecasting, and budgeting
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax laws
- Analyze financial reports and provide strategic insights for management decisions
- Manage risk assessments, cash flow, and cost optimization
- Work with ERP systems and produce regular financial statements
- Lead financial audits and prepare reports for stakeholders
- Liaise with tax advisors, auditors, and banks
- Support grant financials and project funding (e.g., EU/ESA-related)

- Accuracy and timeliness of reporting
- Budget control and forecasting accuracy
- Compliance with tax and audit standards

What You Bring to the Table
- 7+ years of experience in finance or controlling roles
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and German tax laws (HGB)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
- Analytical mindset with strategic thinking abilities
- Fluent in German and English (C1 both)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Highly trustworthy and detail-oriented
- Experience in the aerospace, manufacturing, or project-based industries
- Familiarity with ESA-Projects
- Exposure to international finance in tech/science-driven environments
