Hines is seeking a Financial Controller - Asset Management in Berlin to manage bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and project payments. You will coordinate with auditors, support VAT filings, and assist in tax returns, reporting, and budgeting across international clients.

The ideal candidate has robust accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and fluency in German with good English abilities.

Formación

• Several years of professional accounting experience, preferably in real estate or tax advisory.
• Strong IT skills in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Very good German and good English written and spoken skills.

Responsabilidades

• Ongoing bookkeeping and accounting in accordance with HGB.
• Support in preparation of interim and annual financial statements.
• Processing of project-related payment transactions.
• Execution of capital calls and loan drawdowns.
• Participation in external audits and other audits.
• Preparation of monthly VAT advance returns.
• Support in tax return preparation and reviews by external advisor.
• Support in reporting, budget monitoring and administration.
• Investor-specific ad hoc tasks for various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

As a Financial Controller - Asset Management with Hines, you will be responsibile for:

• Ongoing bookkeeping and accounting in accordance with HGB

• Support in the preparation of interim and annual financial statements

• Processing of project-related payment transactions

• Execution of capital calls and loan drawdowns

• Participation in external annual audits and other audits

• Preparation of monthly VAT advance returns

• Support in the preparation of tax returns by the external tax advisor and the corresponding reviews

• Support in reporting, as well as in budget monitoring and administration

• Investor-specific ad hoc tasks for various stakeholders

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

• Several years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in real estate or tax advisory - e.g. training as a tax clerk; alternatively, a completed degree in a relevant field
• Strong IT skills in all common MS Office products, especially Excel
• Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
• Analytical mindset and a strong affinity for numbers
• Structured approach, strong organizational skills, flexibility, and highly developed teamwork and communication skills
