Zusammenfassung

ENGIE Deutschland AG sucht einen erfahrenen Financial Advisor AIFA (m/w/d) in Berlin oder Köln. Sie erstellen Entscheidungsunterlagen, entwickeln Modelle nach AIFA-Standards und führen Transaktionsprozesse einschließlich Mentoring von Junior-Analysten.

Reisebereitschaft zu Paris oder Brüssel wird erwartet. Sie verfügen über 6–8+ Jahre Erfahrung in Projektfinanzierung, M&A oder Corporate Development, beherrschen Excel-Modelle und arbeiten analytisch strukturiert.

Qualifikationen

• Abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium in BWL, VWL, Ingenieurwesen, Finanzen oder einem vergleichbaren Bereich.
• 6–8+ Jahre Erfahrung in Project Finance, M&A, Unternehmensentwicklung, Investment Banking, Beratung, Private Equity oder Corporate Investment-Umfeld – idealerweise im Energie- oder Infrastrukturbereich.
• Starke Excel-Kenntnisse und Erfahrung im Erstellen/Pflegen von Excel-gestützten Finanzmodellen.
• Analytische Denkweise und strukturierte Arbeitsweise.
• Fließendes Englisch (C1 oder höher); Deutschkenntnisse von Vorteil.
• Gehörigkeit zu gelegentlichen Reisen nach Paris oder Brüssel.

Aufgaben

• Erstellen hochwertiger Entscheidungsunterlagen und Finanzanalysen für Investitionsprojekte (M&A, Greenfield, Akquisitionen, Veräußerungen, Restrukturierungen, Finanzierung).
• Modelle entwickeln entsprechend AIFA-Standards und Investitionsrichtlinien einhalten.
• Führung von Workstreams bei Transaktionen; Mentoring von Junior-Analysten.
• Bewertung finanzieller Auswirkungen (Net Debt, ROCE, Net Income, Veräußerungsgewinn).
• Durchführung regelmäßiger impairment-Tests sowie Ad-hoc-Analysen; Verhandlungen mit Stakeholdern.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and ensure high-quality decision papers and financial analyses for investment projects such as M&A, greenfield developments, acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, and financing
• Develop project models in line with AIFA best practices and ensure compliance with all relevant investment guidelines
• Workstream lead responsibility on live transactions; mentoring of junior analysts
• Calculate and assess the financial statement impacts (net debt, COI, ROCE, net income, capital gain on disposal) of investment decisions
• Conduct annual impairment testing as well as ad-hoc cross-functional analyses; negotiate with stakeholders (banks, advisors, financial institutions, investment funds, etc.)
• Collaborate closely with Business Development, Corporate Finance, Treasury, and Insurance, as well as with the centers of expertise (IFRS, Tax, and Legal)

Your Profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a comparable field
• 6 to 8+ years of experience in Project Finance, M&A, corporate development, investment banking, consulting, private equity, or a corporate investment environment—ideally in power or infrastructure.
• Strong Excel skills and experience maintaining Excel‑based financial models
• Analytical mindset and a structured way of working
• Fluent English skills (C1 level or higher); German language skills are a plus
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Paris or Brussels
