Your Team
Our Finance & Procurement team currently consists of four people and is looking for an additional team member. The position can be full-time or part-time (from 32 hours per week) and is designed as a hybrid model: you will work remotely from within Germany with flexible hours and join us at our Munich office at least twice a month — more often if it suits you.
Your playing field at Gini
- You will manage ongoing financial accounting in DATEV (focus on accounts receivable and accounts payable)
- You will ensure proper accounting and correctly apply relevant German Commercial Code (HGB) regulations
- You will support the team in preparing our monthly financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and conduct ad-hoc analyses as needed
- You will prepare the annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) in coordination with tax advisors and auditors and act as the central contact for the annual audit
- You will manage tax-related topics and issues in close collaboration with tax advisors and auditors
- You will be responsible for incoming and outgoing invoice management as well as short-term liquidity management, including the execution of payment runs and cash flow optimization
- You will support the further development of internal accounting, particularly with regard to processes, tools, and interfaces in the financial area

Skills to be successful
- You have a degree in business administration with a focus on accounting/finance & accounting or a commercial apprenticeship with further training in finance/accounting (e.g., certified public accountant)
- You have 6+ years of experience in financial accounting and in preparing annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) – ideally in a dynamic, growing environment (startups/scaleups, SMEs)
- You are well-versed in DATEV financial accounting and have a solid understanding of German corporate tax law. You are proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) or Google Workspace (especially Sheets); experience with tools for preliminary accounting and liquidity management is a plus
- You work independently, reliably, and enjoy taking on responsibility
- You have an analytical and structured approach, high quality standards, and a hands-on mentality
- You communicate clearly, are open to new ideas, willing to learn, and actively challenge and optimize processes
- You have very good German and good English skills
