Job summary

Flexoptix GmbH in Darmstadt is seeking an experienced accounting professional specializing in tax. You will handle posting, reconciliation, and reporting across GL, AR, AP and fixed assets, while ensuring compliance with HGB and tax law.

The role requires ERP fluency (Comarch ERP, DATEV, Lexware) and strong German and English communication. You will prepare annual and monthly statements, tax returns, and analyses for management, coordinating with tax advisers and auditors.

Qualifications

• Must have tax sector experience in an internationally operating company.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Comarch ERP, DATEV, Lexware, MS Office).
• Strong language skills in German (C1) and English (B1).
• Independent and solution-oriented working style; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Account assignment and posting of all business transactions (GL, AR, AP, fixed assets).

• Account assignment and posting of all business transactions for our companies (general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets accounting)
• Preparation ofannual andmonthly financial statements for our companies in accordance withHGB andtax law, includingaccount reconciliation andaccount clarification
• Preparation and submission of domestic and foreign tax returns
• Contact person for accounting questions in day-to-day business
• Preparing and checking analyses and reporting them to the management
• Processing of payment transactions
• Close and trusting co-operation with tax consultants, auditors, banks, etc.
• Participation in the development, description and optimisation of accounting processes

That's You

• Successfully completed training as a tax clerk (m/f/d), a completed degree with a focus ontaxes, or further training as a certified accountant (m/f/d) or tax specialist (m/f/d)
• Several years of professional experience in the tax sector in an internationally operating company
• Proficiency in using ERP systems (Comarch ERP), DATEV, Lexware, and MS Office (especially Excel), as well as a high degree of openness to new systems such as AI
• Independentand solution-oriented working style
• Strong language skills German at C1 level - and English at B1 level.What matters most is confident communication in both languages, in writing and speaking
