Job summary

TechMiners is seeking a Finance & Operations Associate to join on a part-time basis in Berlin. Hybrid in Berlin preferred, remote within Germany possible. You will own invoicing, collections, monthly bookkeeping, and assist in launching our Portuguese entity.

You will support financial reporting for leadership, manage onboarding and payroll data, plan team events, and help document scalable processes. A fast-growing tech due diligence environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Degree in business administration or related field or completed vocational training in business.
• Some initial work experience in a small company, startup, or advisory firm.
• Take ownership and bring your own ideas to the table.
• Enjoy working with numbers and data.
• Willingness to learn finance and operations in a growing company and use AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Own invoicing and collections to expedite payments.
• Review invoices, prepare monthly bookkeeping for tax advisors, and process payments.
• Contribute to financial reporting used by leadership to make decisions.
• Help build our Portuguese entity from the ground up.
• Shape onboarding/offboarding and maintain payroll data.
• Plan team events and retreats for the team.
• Document, simplify and automate workflows to scale the business.

As we scale rapidly, taking on more international mandates and establishing our new entity in Portugal, we need a strong operational foundation to support that momentum.

Behind every successful due diligence is a business that runs seamlessly. That’s where you come in. We are looking for an ambitious Finance & Operations Associate ready to grow with the role and help build the operational backbone of a fast-growing company.

What you'll do

• Keep the money flowing: You own our invoicing and collections process and help us get paid faster
• Keep the numbers clean: You review incoming invoices, prepare monthly bookkeeping for our tax advisors and prepare payments
• Help steer the company: You help set up the financial reporting our leadership team uses to make decisions
• Go international: You help us build our Portuguese entity from the ground up
• Build a great place to work: You shape how we onboard and offboard people as the team grows, and keep employee and payroll data in order
• Bring the team together: You plan team events and retreats people remember
• Build for scale: You help build the processes we need to grow, and document, simplify and automate our workflows

Who you are

You care about the details and follow through until the job is done. You want to shape how we work, not just follow a manual.

Concretely:

• Degree in business administration or a related field, or completed vocational training in business
• Some first work experience, ideally in a small company, a startup or an advisory firm
