Job summary

Certivity seeks a finance professional who will own the procure-to-pay lifecycle, coordinate budgeting, and prepare management and investor reporting. You will partner with external accountants and help implement digital, scalable finance tools in a growing AI-driven startup.

You will contribute to cash flow planning, build KPI dashboards, and shape reporting processes, while ensuring accuracy and compliance in monthly closes. Fluent German and English are required.

Qualifications

• Completed degree or vocational training, ideally in business administration with a focus on accounting, controlling or finance.
• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, controlling, tax advisory or auditing.
• Strong Excel skills; DATEV knowledge is a plus; experience with modern finance tools.
• Conscientiousness and a strong sense of responsibility; double-check before sending.
• Monthly tasks form the basis of a reliable finance function; steady routine is valued.
• Business-fluent German and English (C1); company language is English.

Responsibilities

• Own procure-to-pay, including invoice verification, approval workflow and payments.
• Coordinate budget processes at team and company level and link budgeting with reporting.
• Prepare management and investor reporting; compile KPIs and cash flow planning.
• Coordinate with external accountants.
• Evaluate and roll-out new finance tools (e.g., spend management).

About the Job

You are the second person in the Finance team after our CFO and take ownership of the operational foundation: procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, budget planning, coordination with accounting and authorities, documentation and reporting. In short, everything that has to be correct, on time and traceable every month. Your reliability is the top priority.

Your mission

What you will do

• Ownership of the procure-to-pay process, including invoice verification, approval workflow and payment processing.
• Operational support and coordination of budget processes at team and company level, and linking budget planning with reporting.
• Preparation of management and investor reporting, as well as compiling relevant KPIs and cash flow planning.
• Coordination with the external accountants.
• Contributing to the evaluation and roll-out of new finance tools, e.g. in the area of spend management.
• Supporting the development and implementation of digital and efficient finance processes.

Your profile
