trawa is scaling energy-tech in Berlin and seeks a Finance Manager to shape our financial backbone, overseeing accounting operations and treasury, and driving automation across workflows.

You will work with founders and banks, lead strategic projects like ERP rollout and international expansion, and own processes end-to-end in a fast-growing environment. Fluency in German and English is required.

Qualifikationen

• 3-5 years in Finance, ideally combining structured training with hands-on experience in fast-growing companies.
• Solid understanding of accounting and general finance principles, with month-end close, reconciliations, or audit exposure.
• Process builder who designs or improves finance processes.
• Strong stakeholder management, working with banks, partners, auditors.
• Analytical, fast learner who thrives in complexity and ambiguity.

You'll work across our entire Finance function, from building critical processes that determine how fast we grow, to jumping into the day-to-day when it matters. Real impact from day one.

What You'll Own

Build & Scale Finance Processes

• Own and develop critical Finance processes end-to-end, with a focus on Accounting operations and Treasury fundamentals like cash planning and bank management

• Drive automation across Finance workflows: identify inefficiencies, design solutions, implement tools

• Jump into daily Finance operations when it matters: reconciliations, payment runs, compliance questions, you take ownership

Drive Strategic Projects

• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives: ERP rollout, Audit preparation, international expansion

• Manage strategic external relationships hands-on: banks, energy partners, auditors, from preparing materials to driving execution

• Provide financial input for strategic decisions, from partnership structures to financing frameworks

Your First 90 Days

• Month 1: Understand our business model, energy market complexity, and Finance process landscape. Meet key stakeholders, banks, auditors, energy partners, and take first ownership of recurring operational tasks.

• Month 2: Take over core Finance processes in Accounting or Treasury. Stabilize what exists, identify the highest-impact inefficiency, and deliver a first automation or process improvement.

• Month 3: Own your processes end-to-end and start building what doesn't exist yet. Shape how we structure Treasury, scale our Accounting operations, and drive strategic projects that directly unlock trawa's growth.

Who You Are

Must-haves:

• 3-5 years in Finance, ideally combining structured training (Big Four, Consulting) with hands-on experience in fast-growing companies

• Solid understanding of accounting and general finance principles. You've worked hands-on with month-end close, reconciliations, or audit processes before

• Process builder: you've designed or significantly improved finance processes before

• Strong stakeholder management, comfortable working with banks, partners, and auditors

• Analytical, fast learner who thrives in complexity and ambiguity

• Hands-on mentality and ownership mindset, you want to build, not maintain

• Excel power user with genuine curiosity for AI & automation tools

• Business fluent in German and English

Nice-to-haves:

Treasury, Structured Finance, or Trade Finance exposure

• Energy or regulated industries experience

• Experience with DATEV, Moss, or ERP implementations

• SQL, Python basics, or hands-on experience with AI tools (Claude, Langdock, n8n)
