Clariness is looking for a Finance Assistant (f / m / d) based in Hamburg.

About the role

We’re looking for a Finance Assistant who has a love for numbers, a sharp eye for detail and a genuine desire to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

In this role you’ll play an important part in our accounting team ensuring that invoices are processed accurately, reports are prepared on time and financial documentation is always up‑to‑date. You enjoy structured work and value stability and teamwork – this could be the perfect next step for you.

Responsibilities
  • Processing incoming and outgoing invoices from entry to posting and follow‑up.
  • Preparing cost center reports and supporting month‑end and year‑end closings.
  • Helping manage expense approvals and workflows using Candis.
  • Supporting reconciliations and ensuring accurate, up‑to‑date financial records.
  • Communicating with colleagues and vendors to clarify invoice or payment details.
  • Taking on general finance and administrative tasks to support the wider team.
Qualifications
  • Completed commercial or accounting‑related training (e.g., Kaufmännische Ausbildung or equivalent).
  • First experience in finance administration, invoicing or a similar support role.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office; experience with Candis is a plus.
  • Fluent in German and comfortable communicating in English.
  • A structured, precise and reliable way of working.
  • You enjoy organization, teamwork and being the person others can count on.
