Zusammenfassung

Gatehouse Bank Plc is seeking a Finance Analyst to own month-end close, lead reconciliations, and deliver accurate financial reporting across the UFSS and iMAL platforms.

You will partner with Finance, Operations, and the wider team to enhance daily reporting, ensure data integrity, and drive continuous improvement in controls and processes.

Qualifikationen

  • University degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Candidates studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA are advantageous.
  • Office-based role; hybrid setup with up to 3 days per week work from home.

Jobbeschreibung

Working closely with the Finance Manager, the Financial and Regulatory Reporting Manager, and the wider finance team, the Finance Analyst will own and lead the delivery of financial control and reporting activities, with a focus on month-end reporting processes - applying specialist knowledge, judgement and compliance where required., The role holder will

  • Own the preparation, review, and posting of accurate month-end journals.
  • Lead on RPF-related activities, including reconciliations between UFSS and iMAL, making informed judgements on variances, and analysing movements within UFSS, as well as system-generated reports.
  • Own the production of RPF reporting for SPV02 and SPV03 books, ensuring stakeholders have clear visibility of cash movements across loan portfolios.
  • Support and enhance daily financial reporting to ensure outputs are accurate, insightful, and support effective decision-making.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes strengthen controls, and maintain the integrity of financial data across systems.
Financial Reporting and Month End
  • Own and lead the delivery of month-end and quarter-end financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of outputs.
  • Take accountability for the preparation, review, and posting of month-end journals within agreed timelines.
Reconciliations and RPF Oversight
  • Own and oversee the posting of journals into the iMAL accounting ledger for RPF-related transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Lead on the daily reconciliation RPF data across P&L and Balance Sheet, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Take accountability for the preparation and review monthly RPF reconciliations, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Oversee daily reconciliation of bank accounts managed by the Operations team, ensuring all items are identified, investigated, and cleared on a timely basis.
  • Take ownership of RPF-related processes, including reconciliations between UFSS and iMAL, investigating variances, and developing insight into underlying movements.
Reporting and Analysis
  • Own and lead the reporting of RPF positions within SPV02 and SPV03 books, providing stakeholders with clear visibility of cash movements across loan portfolios.
  • Lead on complex data analysis to respond to ad-hoc queries related to the P&L and Balance Sheet, presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Drive the production and enhancement of daily financial reporting, ensuring outputs are accurate and insightful.
Control, Systems and Continuous Improvement
  • Own and oversee data integrity and completeness checks across financial systems, ensuring consistency and reliability of reported financial information.
  • Handle and lead on ad-hoc investigatory requests from the Finance team and wider business, providing timely and well-supported analysis.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and control enhancements, contributing to increased efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of financial systems and system-generated reports, including UFSS and iMAL.
General
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of the role.Strong ability to build and maintain effective cross-divisional relationships, working collaboratively with Finance, Operations, and wider business stakeholders.
  • Clear and confident communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to clearly present financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with financial data, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Proven ability to work to strict deadlines, managing multiple priorities effectively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting), with good working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and provide clear explanations of variances.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to structure workloads efficiently and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Working knowledge of financial ledger systems (e.g. iMAL or similar), with the ability to navigate and extract relevant financial data.
  • A strong understanding of financial control processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal posting, and P&L analysis.
  • A university degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Candidates studying towards a recognised professional accountancy qualification, such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA, would be advantageous.
  • Prior working experience within a Finance function within the financial services industry. Please note this is an office based role which can be based from either our Wilmslow or Milton Keynes offices and offers up to 3 days per week working from home.
