Zusammenfassung

agap2 Germany seeks an experienced FPGA / Embedded Systems Engineer (m/f/d) to contribute to embedded FPGA-based aerospace systems within multidisciplinary teams across the full development lifecycle.

You will translate requirements into architectures, verify designs, and support BSP development, testing and safety analyses. German and English skills are required; international collaboration is expected; IG Metall compensation applies.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of industrial FPGA/PLD development for embedded systems.
• Hands-on experience with PLD/FPGA technologies and tools (Microsemi, Xilinx, Altera/Intel, Libero).
• Experience with FPGA verification tools (ModelSim, Riviera-PRO).
• Good German and English skills; able to work in international environments.

FPGA / Embedded Systems Engineer (m/f/d)

You will contribute to the development of embedded FPGA-based systems for cutting-edge aerospace applications, working within multidisciplinary engineering teams on the full development lifecycle—from requirements and architecture to verification and testing.

What You’ll Do

• Develop PLD/FPGA solutions for embedded aerospace systems
• Translate technical requirements into FPGA architectures and detailed hardware specifications
• Design, implement and verify FPGA control systems
• Support the development, programming, commissioning and testing of Board Support Packages (BSPs)
• Perform FPGA design reviews, requirements analysis and conceptual/detail design activities
• Execute verification, validation and documentation of development results
• Contribute to safety concepts and safety analyses
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams following agile development methodologies

What You Bring

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
• At least 2 years of industrial experience in FPGA/PLD development for embedded systems
• Hands-on experience with PLD/FPGA technologies and development tools (e.g. Microsemi, Xilinx, Altera/Intel, Libero)
• Experience with embedded hardware and FPGA-based system development
• Knowledge of FPGA verification tools such as ModelSim or Riviera-PRO
• Experience with model-based development using MATLAB / Simulink is an advantage
• Aerospace development experience and knowledge of RTCA DO-254 is a strong plus
• Experience with software development for embedded systems is beneficial
