We are partnered with an innovative leader in environmental sensing technologies seeking a Field Application Engineer to provide technical support for customers and distribution partners across Europe, based in Germany.

The role is permanent and located at either Reutlingen or Karlsruhe offices. You will interface with customers during design-in, development, and ramp-up, deliver demonstrations, and create technical documentation while enabling sales through pre-sales support.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Physics, or related field.
• 3+ years in a Field Application Engineer or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Strong understanding of sensor technologies and real-world applications.
• Able to troubleshoot at system and component level.
• Experience supporting distributors or channel partners in OEM environments.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Aufgaben

• Serve as the primary technical interface for customers and distribution partners across design-in, development, and ramp-up phases.
• Analyze customer requirements and recommend optimal sensor solutions across humidity, gas, and ultrasonic applications.
• Provide hands-on technical support including system architecture reviews, schematic/layout reviews, debugging, and performance optimisation.
• Partner with Sales to drive technical credibility in customer engagements, RFQs, and design wins.
• Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and application workshops — onsite and virtual.
• Develop application notes, reference designs, and technical documentation.
• Train internal sales teams and distribution partners on products and value propositions.
• Represent the company at trade shows, customer events, and technical forums.
