Join our HMO USP Optimization Team as a Fermentation Scientist (m/f/d) The team runs the HMO pilot fermentation laboratory. They prepare and execute bioreactor cultivations to develop and optimize improved process conditions or to produce sample material in pilot scale. This includes preparation, sterilization and cleaning of media and equipment, as well as starting seed trains for microbial cultivation and analyzing in-process controls. Results are documented in batch protocols and electronically. Developed processes are scaled-up to commercial production, to implement improvements in e.g. product yield or quality in industrial scale.
Our team includes 7 people (1 operator, 3 technicians and 3 scientists). They collaborate with e.g. strain development, downstream optimization, production, QA/QC, maintenance, and others. Some of the regular tasks in cross-departmental collaboration are assigned to individual team members, considering their strengths and education.
