Job summary

Enpal is seeking an Expert Technical Accounting (f/m/x) to take ownership of complex accounting matters across the Group and advise senior Finance stakeholders. You will shape policies, governance and financial reporting while aligning with IFRS and HGB standards.

You will work closely with the Head of Technical Accounting and senior stakeholders to translate business developments into practical accounting conclusions and implement them across ERP and reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or comparable field.
• Several years of senior-level experience in Technical Accounting, Accounting Advisory, Group Accounting or Audit.

What you’ll do

As Expert Technical Accounting (f/m/x) you will take ownership of complex technical accounting matters across the Group, advise senior Finance and business stakeholders, and help shape Enpal’s accounting policies, governance and financial reporting.

You take independent ownership of complex technical accounting topics and workstreams, partnering closely with the Head of Technical Accounting and senior Finance stakeholders.

You assess new business models, products, transactions and contractual arrangements under IFRS and HGB and develop robust, well-supported accounting conclusions for complex and judgmental matters.

You act as a trusted accounting advisor to Finance and business stakeholders, translating complex business developments into clear accounting implications and practical solutions.

You drive the implementation of technical accounting conclusions into accounting and reporting processes, working closely with GL Accounting, Group Accounting, ERP, Tax, Legal and other relevant functions.

What you’ll bring

You have a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a comparable field and several years of senior-level experience in Technical Accounting, Accounting Advisory, Group Accounting or Audit, ideally in a complex international organization.

You have excellent knowledge of IFRS and HGB and strong practical experience applying accounting standards to complex and judgmental transactions.

You have a proven track record of independently developing accounting conclusions and preparing high-quality technical accounting papers, assessments and audit documentation.

You communicate confidently in English; German is a strong advantage, particularly for HGB-related topics and statutory audits. A professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, Wirtschaftsprüfer or equivalent is a plus.
