Overview

As Expert Lead Marketing Controlling, you maximise the return on our marketing investments and drive profitable growth across all channels and regions. You are a trusted partner to the CFO and CMO, combining strategic insight, financial acumen and data-driven decision-making to ensure every euro spent delivers measurable impact. This position is permanent and based in Munich.

Responsibilities
  • monitor, analyse and challenge marketing KPIs (ROI, CAC, CLV, payback) across all channels and markets, as well as across our full funnel marketing approach
  • identify trends, deviations and efficiency gaps, providing targeted, actionable recommendations for rapid improvement
  • lead budget and forecast processes, ensuring accuracy, accountability and alignment with our strategic goals
  • deliver high-quality insights to guide channel allocation, campaign planning and long-term investment strategies
  • partner with senior leadership in performance reviews, influencing key decisions at board level
  • collaborate with BI and Analytics to refine KPI frameworks, attribution models and forecasting methods
Qualifications
  • at least 7+ years of experience in marketing performance management or marketing controlling within e-commerce, omnichannel retail or D2C businesses
  • deep expertise in marketing ROI modelling, KPI analysis and cost optimisation across markets and channels
  • proven ability to link marketing performance to profitability, shareholder value and strategic growth
  • strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working closely with C-level executives
  • proficiency in BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) and advanced data analysis capabilities
  • a track record of driving process improvements and fostering a culture of cost efficiency
