Experienced Full Stack Backend Engineer – Berlin AI Company

Nomitri is seeking an experienced Full Stack Backend Engineer to join our engineering team in Berlin. The role focuses on designing, building, and deploying backend systems and key applications that make our AI solutions transparent, scalable, and user-friendly.

Location

Berlin, Germany (hybrid: 3 days in‑office, 2 days remote)

Responsibilities

• Develop core backend features that support edge AI services
• Scale deployments across on-prem and cloud environments, ensuring robust delivery of the AI stack
• Build real-time dashboards and KPIs that turn data into actionable insights
• Create monitoring and diagnostics services to maintain system reliability
• Implement RESTful APIs (and optionally GraphQL) that support higher‑level AI features and frontend functionality
• Design responsive dashboards and web applications for internal and external users
• Deploy containerized applications with Docker, Kubernetes and GitOps tools such as Argo CD
• Integrate and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins) for automated builds, testing and deployment
• Deploy and maintain applications on AWS, GCP and on-premise environments
• Collaborate with ML, DevOps and product teams to ensure seamless integration of dashboards and backend systems

Qualifications

• Broad expertise in full stack web application development (frontend & backend)
• Backend: Strong experience with Java, Node.js, Python or Ruby and RESTful API development
• Frontend: Proficiency in React, Angular or Vue.js with ability to build clean, intuitive dashboards
• Containerization: Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• CI/CD: Experience setting up and maintaining pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, etc.)
• Cloud & On‑Prem: Proven experience deploying web applications in both cloud and on‑prem environments

Nice To Have

• Familiarity with GraphQL for optimized API queries
• UI/UX sensibility for designing functional and visually appealing dashboards
• Experience with real‑time data streams (WebSockets, live KPIs)
• Understanding of web application security (OAuth, JWT, secure API practices)
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack
• Experience with data visualization techniques for technical and non‑technical users
• Exposure to serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions)
