Our client is a globally leading manufacturer of high-tech photonics and analytical instruments , offering advanced measurement solutions for OEM, Life Sciences, Industrial Applications, and Academic Research . Renowned for their innovation and technical excellence, the company operates internationally with direct sales offices across Europe, Asia, and North America.

As part of their continued European expansion, they are now seeking a German-speaking Sales Expert to further develop their OEM photonics business — driving growth across the DACH region and Europe .

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow OEM Sales Across Europe : Manage and grow sales volume in assigned territories with a focus on OEM partnerships in photonics and spectroscopy .
  • New Business Acquisition : Identify and acquire new OEM clients by understanding customer needs and offering tailored photonics-based solutions.
  • Account Development : Retain and expand existing accounts by introducing new measurement and instrumentation solutions aligned with customer roadmaps.
  • Solution Selling : Translate technical capabilities into commercial value, addressing the needs of OEM customers in sectors such as biotech, diagnostics, process analytics , and industrial sensing .
  • Contract Support : Contribute to drafting commercial terms (pricing, delivery conditions, service agreements).
  • Customer Engagement : Build trust and establish long-term OEM relationships based on deep technical consultation and value creation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with product management, engineering, and application specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Market Analysis : Assess market trends and growth potential in assigned European regions.
  • Event Participation : Represent the company at trade shows, technical conferences, and customer events across Europe.
  • Reporting : Provide sales forecasts and reports to regional leadership.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background in photonics , spectroscopy, or optical measurement technologies.
  • Several years of B2B sales experience in capital equipment, scientific instrumentation, or analytical measurement systems.
  • Prior experience with OEM sales and solution-based selling is a strong advantage.
  • Strong understanding of Life Sciences , Industrial OEM applications, or Academic Research markets.
  • Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken) – any additional language is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across Europe.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, and eager to work in a high-tech, consultative sales environment.
