Mars Veterinary Health (MVH) Europe is seeking a European Health & Safety Systems & Training Manager to lead cross‑border HSE programs, harmonising systems and driving digital analytics across markets. You will design multilingual training and partner with regional leaders to embed a strong safety culture.

The role requires at least 8 years in HSE leadership, expertise in European/UK legislation and ISO 45001 knowledge, plus willingness to travel across Europe.

Qualifikationen

• Strong leadership in health, safety and environmental roles across multi-site or pan-European environments.
• Knowledge of European and UK health and safety legislation and applying requirements across jurisdictions.
• Experience implementing ISO 45001 and other international HSE standards and management systems.
• Designing and delivering multilingual safety training across countries and regulatory environments.
• NEBOSH Diploma is required; CMIOSH or similar chartership preferred; experience with HSE digital systems is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel across Europe and build relationships with stakeholders at different levels.

Job Title - European Health & Safety Systems & Training Manager

• Shape health and safety across Europe: Lead the development and harmonisation of HSE management systems across our growing European veterinary network, helping create safer workplaces for our people.
• Drive meaningful transformation: Lead the digital transformation of HSE reporting, analytics and management systems, using data and technology to improve decision‑making and performance.
• Build a strong safety culture: Design and deliver engaging, multilingual training programmes that support colleagues across different countries, cultures and operational environments.
• Make a regional impact: Work across multiple European markets, partnering with local teams and senior stakeholders to strengthen compliance, risk management and continuous improvement.
• Help shape the future of MVH Europe: Contribute to strategic and transformational priorities supporting the Petcare 2030 agenda while building consistent, high‑quality HSE practices across the organisation.

The team

You will join the Health, Safety, Risk & Security (HSRS) function within Mars Veterinary Health (MVH) Europe and report to the Director of Health & Safety, Risk & Security.

The role has a pan‑European remit, supporting the current and future MVH geographic network. You will work collaboratively with leaders and teams across multiple countries, bringing together HSE expertise, systems, training, compliance and risk management to create consistent standards while recognising local regulatory and cultural requirements.

This is a strategic individual contributor role with significant regional influence. You will act as a central point of contact for pan‑European HSE initiatives and build strong relationships with operational teams, subject matter experts, senior leaders and external stakeholders.

What we’re looking for

• Strong HSE leadership experience: At least 8 years of experience in health, safety and environmental leadership roles, ideally within a multi‑site or pan‑European environment.
• Technical and regulatory expertise: Strong knowledge of European and UK health and safety legislation, with practical experience applying requirements across different jurisdictions.
• Management systems experience: Proven experience implementing and improving ISO 45001 and other relevant international HSE standards and management systems.
• Training and culture: Demonstrated success in designing and delivering safety training programmes across different countries, cultures and regulatory environments, including the ability to develop multilingual content.
• Professional qualification: NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent is required. CMIOSH or a similar professional chartership is preferred. Experience with HSE digital systems, reporting and analytics would also be an advantage.
• Regional flexibility: Willingness to travel across Europe as required and able to build effective relationships with stakeholders across different markets and organisational levels.
