Equity & Derivatives Trader (Short-Term / Family Office Mandate)
We are establishing a high-conviction, short-term trading desk within a privately held family office, managing proprietary capital. The role is suited for an experienced, hands‑on trader with a proven track record in short‑term equity and derivatives trading, capable of delivering consistent, risk‑adjusted returns in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities

- Identify, execute, and manage short‑term swing trades (typical holding period: days to weeks, max ~1 month).
- Apply leverage and hedging strategies effectively through derivatives (options, futures, Turbos, structured products).
- Maintain and analyse positions using Bloomberg Professional, ensuring disciplined risk control and timely execution.
- Develop and refine proprietary trading strategies, incorporating both technical and quantitative signals.
- Report portfolio performance, exposure, and P&L metrics directly to the principal.
- Collaborate with the execution desk and external brokers (Swiss private bank infrastructure).
Requirements
- 8+ years’ experience trading equities and derivatives with a proven P&L track record.
- Deep understanding of market dynamics, leverage, and risk management.
- Demonstrable experience using Bloomberg Professional (Terminal) for trading and analytics (mandatory).

- Familiarity with short-term and swing trading (not long‑only or benchmark‑driven).
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently and manage capital responsibly.
- Proficiency in English (German is a plus).
Compensation
Performance‑driven structure with a competitive base retainer and profit participation.
Location
- Initial onboarding in Fürth (Germany) for the first months, with hybrid or remote setup thereafter.
- Collaboration with a Swiss‑based execution desk (private bank).
Why Join
- Trade meaningful proprietary capital with full autonomy.
- No corporate layers – direct reporting to the principal.
- Opportunity to shape a new trading platform within a professional, performance‑oriented family office environment.
