Your mission

As an Environmental Technician, you will support environmental compliance, monitoring, and optimisation across renewable energy projects, ensuring alignment with German and EU regulations and contributing to Solaria’s sustainable expansion in Germany.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations throughout all project phases.
  • Support the preparation and review of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and related documentation.
  • Liaise with external consultants and local authorities for permitting and reporting.
  • Conduct site visits to verify environmental conditions and mitigation measures.
  • Manage environmental data and reporting systems, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
  • Collaborate with engineering and development teams to integrate environmental criteria into project design.
Requirements
  • Technical qualification or university degree in Environmental Sciences, Biology, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience in environmental management within the renewable energy or infrastructure sector.
  • Knowledge of German and EU environmental legislation and permitting processes.
  • Familiarity with GIS tools and environmental monitoring systems is a plus.
  • Excellent command of English and German, both written and spoken.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Team-oriented mindset and effective communication skills.
Work Environment

This role is 100% on-site at our Berlin office, from Monday to Friday. Occasional travel to project sites may be required.
