What you will do:

To ensure good environmental management procedures are adhered across all sectors of EDPR Deutschland. Responsible for managing all of the environmental elements of wind farm projects in development, construction and operation in Germany and for supporting the environmental measures of solar projects under construction.

Main Accountabilities:

• Development phase:
  • Perform environmental feasibility studies.
  • Support development team in the preparation of environmental authorisation.
  • Support contracting and management of contractors undertaking Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
• Construction and operational phase:
  • Support development team in the implementation of environmental measures (reduction and compensatory measures) and ensure the follow‑up of those measures during operation.
  • Review construction and operational contractor environmental documentation.
  • Audit project sites and contractors to ensure compliance with permits and environmental obligations and follow‑through on non‑compliance issues (pollution, drainage, etc.) during both construction and exploitation phase.
  • Launch, follow up and analyse subcontracted operational phase ecological studies.

What we are looking for:

1. ACADEMIC LEVEL

   Graduate or Master’s Degree in Environmental Science and/or Biology/Ecology.

2. REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

   Experience of 2–5 years in wind or solar project development.

3. SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
   • Knowledge and understanding of national and European environmental legislation, and Environmental Impact Assessment.
   • Understanding of environmental issues, processes and impacts, particularly linked to wind and solar energy projects.
4. LANGUAGES

   Fluent German and English.

5. SKILLS / COMPETENCES
   • German driving licence.
   • Stakeholder management.
   • Ability to work independently as well as a key part of a team.
   • Excellent written German and report‑writing skills.
   • Capable organisation skills and a collaborative, skilled communicator.
