Job summary

Zalando's Sustainability and Compliance team seeks an EPR Analyst to lead cross-jurisdictional regulatory work across packaging, electronics, batteries, and textiles. You will transform waste data into insights, model fees, and reduce costs while partnering with logistics, product and legal.

You will work with PROs, environmental agencies, and auditors to verify data and maintain relationships, and drive scalable digital reporting tools to support a circular business model.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end compliance reporting and regulatory tracking across European markets for packaging, electronics, batteries, and textile waste streams.
• Turn complex waste and sales datasets into actionable insights, building robust models to track volumes, predict fee structures, and optimize compliance costs.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including logistics, product, and legal, to integrate sustainable compliance mechanisms into core business workflows.
• Collaborate directly with external Producer Responsibility Organisations (PROs), environmental agencies, and auditors to verify data integrity and maintain smooth operational relationships.
• Lead the implementation of scalable digital tools and reporting frameworks that support our transition toward circular business models.

THE ROLE & THE TEAM

Our Sustainability and Compliance team leads strategic initiatives across Zalando's pan-European network to minimize environmental impact and drive circular economy practices. We navigate complex regulatory landscapes to ensure our business models remain compliant, efficient, and aligned with our commitment to sustainable fashion e-commerce. As an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Analyst, you will lead compliance efforts across complex, multi-jurisdictional regulatory frameworks. In this high-impact, cross-functional role, you will combine data-driven analysis and stakeholder management to develop innovative compliance solutions, optimize costs, and champion sustainable business practices across product waste streams, including packaging, electronics, batteries, and textiles.
