Jobbeschreibung

As an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator, you will collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders across EMEA, engaging at all organizational levels both on-site and regionally. Your primary focus will be to support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of EHS frameworks and performance across the region.

In this role, you will predominantly support Occupational Health and Safety service delivery within data center operations, while also contributing to environmental initiatives. You will provide support across the full lifecycle of projects, including design, operational delivery, and fit‑out activities, as required. You will play a key role in promoting the health, safety, and wellbeing of employees, while working to eliminate or minimize environmental impacts. Under the direction of relevant service leads, you will contribute to the delivery of a broad range of EHS services across EMEA, while continuing to develop your own professional and technical expertise.

This is a hybrid position based in Germany, offering a blend of remote work and travel across the EMEA region.

What will you do?
  • Coordinating EHS systems, processes, and arrangements to ensure effective service support across EMEA, delivering legislative, best practice and company rules compliance.
  • Supporting the delivery of continuous improvement in EHS Management to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of employees and those affected by our activities, while minimizing or eliminating impacts on our environment.
  • Supporting the ongoing development of zero harm and behavioural safety improvements.
  • EHS Service and Systems Support: Provide administrative and operational support to the EMEA EHS team, including customer engagement, budget and procurement coordination, and effective use of internal EHS systems (e.g., EHS Enterprise System).
  • Performance, Data and Reporting: Support EHS performance management by ensuring timelines are met, assisting with data analysis, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
  • Documentation and Information Management: Contribute to the development, review, formatting, implementation, control, and translation (where required) of EHS documentation, guidance, and technical materials.
  • Legislative and Standards Compliance: Assist in maintaining EHS compliance registers, tracking legislative alignment, and supporting adherence to regulatory and company standards across the region.
  • Incident, Investigation and Risk Management: Support incident reporting and management processes, accident investigations, follow‑up actions, shared learning, audits, inspections, and the development and implementation of suitable risk assessments.
  • Programme, Project and Change Support: Assist with EHS input to projects, site visits, inspections, change‑management processes, SOP reviews, and approvals, supporting improved site controls and safe delivery of works.
  • Training, Awareness and Communication: Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of EHS training, workshops, awareness initiatives, newsletters, and ownership of the EHS SharePoint platform.
  • Occupational Health and Wellbeing: Support occupational health programmes, including health surveillance, medical checks, and related initiatives, working with HR and regional stakeholders as required.
  • General and Ad Hoc Support: Provide flexible support to the EHS function through additional duties aligned with role competence and organisational needs.
What are we looking for?
  • Fluent in German and have a good command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrable experience in an administrative or coordination role within Health, Safety and Environment, ideally gained within data centre environments.
  • Recognised Health, Safety and Environment qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent).
  • Willing to undertake personal and professional development to improve competencies and gain relevant accreditations (e.g., FaSi).
  • Willingly able and willing to travel within Germany and the EMEA region as and when required.
  • Specific Data Centre experience is desirable (not essential, but applicants need to demonstrate transferable skills and evidence of knowledge and experience).
  • Proactive and self‑motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with clear and effective communication abilities.
  • Possess a clean full driving licence.
  • Undergo full security checks as required.
