HelloFresh Group, headquartered in Berlin, seeks an Engineering Manager for Cloud Runtime to lead a distributed squad of platform engineers across Europe and beyond. You will guide architecture choices, drive reliability, and manage costs while staying close to the codebase to review pull requests and incident analysis.
You will partner with Product to define a roadmap, own operational metrics, and mentor the team.
HelloFresh Group is the world's leading integrated food solutions provider, with a global portfolio of brands spanning meal kits, ready-to-eat meals, and specialty products. From our Berlin headquarters, we build and run the technology that delivers millions of meals every week.
We welcome team players who thrive in a dynamic environment, lead with ownership, and bring diverse perspectives to the table. If you are motivated to grow in a culture that champions speed and agility, data-driven decision making, and customer centricity, we would like to hear from you.
The Foundations Alliance builds the tools and infrastructure that empower engineering teams across HelloFresh. Cloud Runtime sits at the center of it: we provide a reliable and highly performant multi-cluster container platform so that every HelloFresh engineer can deploy services with 99.99% uptime, high performance, low latency, and minimal operational overhead.
As Engineering Manager for Cloud Runtime, you will lead a squad of platform engineers who own the container platform, networking, and traffic routing that more than 1,000 production services depend on across Europe, North America, and Australia and New Zealand. You will partner closely with our Product Manager to turn a defined platform strategy into a roadmap the team can execute, and you will be accountable for the reliability and cost of what we run.
This is a hands‑on leadership role. Your day will not be spent writing code, but you will be close enough to the system to read a pull request, follow a debugging session, and challenge the team on any technical decision they bring you, from an architecture proposal to an incident postmortem.
