Overview

Engineering Manager Hydraulics (gn) at LINDEMANN Metal Recycling, Düsseldorf.

Responsibilities

• Technical and disciplinary leadership of the Engineering Hydraulics team
• Identify, concept, further develop and evaluate hydraulic concepts for scrap recycling machines (scrap shears, scrap presses, metal shredder) and associated subassemblies
• Define and document requirements, development and test results (specifications, load cases)
• Develop solution concepts considering functional, manufacturing and economic requirements
• Coordinate and organize R&D and project execution across teams
• Review and prepare manufacturing documentation and technical specifications
• Assist in specification and calculation of offers for new machines and service offerings
• Risk management

Your Profile

• Completed degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable technical qualification in the mechanical engineering field
• Proven competencies in hydraulics
• At least 5 years of experience in the development and design of demanding hydraulic concepts and the sizing and configuration of hydraulic components in heavy machinery (presses, shears, forging, etc.)
• 3D CAD and PLM skills (ideally Siemens NX and Teamcenter)
• Good MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Eplan knowledge is an advantage
• Enjoy creating technical solution concepts and documenting them in 3D models, calculations, diagrams, sketches and, if applicable, technical drawings and plans
• Willingness to travel worldwide (about 10%)
• First leadership experience advantageous
• Good English and German skills written and spoken
