Job summary

Wemolo GmbH is seeking a strong engineering leader to head the B2C Driver team. You will mentor engineers, stay close to code (Python, React, TypeScript, Postgres, AWS Lambda), and guide delivery across backend and frontend with high quality.

You'll collaborate with Product and Customer Success, shape development processes, and help engineers grow, while balancing technical excellence with product priorities. English fluency is essential; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years leading engineers (team lead, tech lead, or early-stage manager).
• Strong knowledge of Python, PostgreSQL, AWS (or GCP, Azure).
• Proven ability to deliver complex software in client- or customer-facing teams.
• Interest in user experience and working with product/design.
• People skills and passion for helping engineers grow.
• Strategic awareness balancing tech excellence with product/business priorities.
• Clear communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fluent in English (German a plus).
• Startup or scale-up experience; AWS serverless experience; data-driven decisions; familiarity with Agile, OKRs.

If you're a strong engineer with leadership experience and a passion for guiding people while still staying close to the tech, this role is your next big step. You'll lead a talented engineering team, drive delivery of impactful projects, and help shape the way we build at Wemolo.

You'll lead the "Driver team" that owns Wemolo's B2C product: everything a driver sees and touches when they park with us. The team's work reaches real people every day, and you'll see the effect of what you ship right away.

Our UI surfaces are very varied: We build web apps, and we also build user flows for terminals and screens running on edge devices out in the field. The team has its own designer, so UX and UI are a core part of the work. Because we're close to the customer, we work hand in hand with Product and Customer Success to understand what drivers need and to fix their problems quickly.
