Job Description

E.ON SE (E.ON) is one of Europe's largest operators of energy networks and infrastructure and a provider of innovative energy solutions. We are looking for a Senior Strategy Manager Energy Retail (f/m/d) to join our team as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Lead the group-wide Energy Retail strategy development and drive strategic priorities, supporting senior leadership decision-making and contributing to capital market commitments
• Translate strategic direction into clear targets, actionable initiatives, and high-impact projects
• Establish effective performance steering models to track and ensure successful strategy execution
• Advise and support regional leadership teams in applying the group-wide strategy to their local markets
• Develop cross-functional collaboration frameworks to enhance cross-country knowledge sharing and consistency
• Provide in-depth market and competitor analysis, delivering clear recommendations for E.ON's strategic positioning
• Monitor regulatory and political developments and prepare board-level briefings with strategic recommendations
• Engage in direct interaction with senior and board-level stakeholders to influence key strategic decisions and ensure alignment across regions and functions

Profile

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Energy Retail (commodities and/or energy solutions), e-commerce, telecommunications, or top-tier strategy consulting with exposure to international markets
• Proven track record in strategy development and execution, including translating group-wide strategies into operational targets and driving strategy rollouts across multiple countries
• Strong experience in stakeholder management, including direct interaction with senior executives and board-level decision makers
• Solid understanding of the energy industry, particularly Energy Retail, with good knowledge of EU regulatory and political dynamics impacting the sector
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement cross-country collaboration models, steering frameworks, and governance structures in complex organizations
• Analytical strength with the ability to derive data-driven strategic insights from market and competitive analyses
• Excellent communication skills in English (additional, especially German, are a plus)
