Adtran in Munich, Germany is seeking an Engineer Advanced Technology (M/F/D) to join our Advanced Technology team. You will investigate high-speed coherent optical transmission technologies for optical satellite communications and develop new concepts, perform simulations, and run laboratory experiments.

You will collaborate with partners from industry and academia, contribute to research projects, and help translate ideas into future products.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, Communications Engineering, or a related field.
• Good understanding of optical communication systems and digital communications.
• Good programming skills (Python, MATLAB and similar).
• Experience with laboratory measurements and use of communication test equipment.
• Ability to analyze experimental data and prepare structured technical reports.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Innovative, highly motivated, hands-on personality.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; German is a plus.
• Ability to think analytically and work independently.
