energy & meteo systems is seeking a Product Owner (m/f/d) for the Virtual Power Plant software used in power generation facilities. You will own a component, define a clear vision, and drive development with the team.
You’ll gather customer requirements, prioritize features, and manage the full product cycle while coordinating with Key Accounting and Software Development. Remote work is possible, with a long-term, permanent contract and a strong focus on energy market knowledge.
Here at energy & meteo systems, together with our partner companies emsys VPP and emsys grid services, we do our very best every day to efficiently integrate renewable energy into power grids and markets. To this end, we offer our customers — electricity retailers and grid operators worldwide — forward-looking software products and full-service solutions. In addition to wind and solar output forecasts, these include virtual power plants for controlling decentralized energy systems, as well as a platform concept for proactive grid planning.
As a Product Owner, you’ll play a key role in agile project management. You’ll be responsible for a specific component of our “Virtual Power Plant” software solution and ensure that the product meets customer expectations.

Stakeholder Management: You serve as the central point for information from the Key Accounting and Software Development departments, with which you collaborate closely.
Market Screening: You keep a constant eye on the industry, the competition, and current market needs, and align our product strategy with our corporate values accordingly.
You have a college degree, for example, in energy economics, renewable energy, energy and environmental engineering, business informatics, or industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification.
You have gained initial professional experience in product management, IT product procurement, technical sales, as a project manager or Scrum Master in software development, or in a similar role.
It’s important that you’re comfortable with our services—thanks to your IT aptitude, you can quickly grasp complex software products.
Communication skills: You’re an active listener, can clearly explain technical topics, present compelling arguments, and value collaboration within the team.
Ideally, you’re already familiar with the energy market, renewable energy, and power grids, or you’re open to learning about topics such as direct marketing, balancing power, and redispatch.
Your workday is varied, your role is challenging, and your team is motivated.
Permanent employment contract—we’re counting on you for the long term.
Flexible working hours and tracking of all overtime: You don’t have to be at work at 7 a.m. What’s important to us is that you give it your all when you’re there.
