Electronic Hardware Design Engineer (m/f/d)

We’re looking for a Hardware Engineer who thrives in both deep‑tech hardware engineering and hands‑on rapid‑prototyping in a fast‑paced startup environment.

Your mission

• Analyze system and functional requirements, and translate them into hardware specifications and testable PCB designs.
• Develop schematics and layouts using modern EDA tools.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical design, production, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and manufacturability.
• Build, bring‑up, and debug hardware prototypes in the lab.
• Support test development and automation, ideally using Python or similar scripting tools.
• Participate in design reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of design and validation processes.

Your profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout principles, and component selection.
• Experience in schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad, or similar).
• Knowledge about EMC and experience with best practices.
• Comfortable with lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal analyzers).
• Hands‑on attitude – you enjoy building, testing, and iterating quickly.
• Basic programming experience in Python (or willingness to learn) for test automation and data analysis.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across disciplines.

Nice to have

• Touchpoints with EMC measurement and debugging.
• Experience with design‑for‑manufacturing (DFM) or end‑of‑line testing.
• Familiarity with embedded systems or firmware basics.
• Experience working in an agile or R&D‑heavy startup environment.
