An opportunity is available for an experienced Electrical Authorised Person (AP) to take responsibility for the safe operation, control, and management of LV and MV electrical systems across projects. This is a safety-critical role focused on ensuring compliance, system reliability, and the safe execution of energisation, isolation, and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the designated Authorised Person for LV and MV systems.
• Issue, manage, and coordinate Permits to Work.
• Carry out safe isolation, switching, and energisation procedures.
• Support the planning and execution of LV & MV energisation and maintenance activities.
• Ensure full compliance with electrical legislation, company procedures, and technical standards.
• Supervise contractors and oversee electrical works on site.
• Conduct electrical safety audits, fault investigations, and produce detailed reports.
• Maintain accurate system documentation, drawings, and switching schedules.
• Participate in emergency response and fault rectification activities.

Candidate Profile

• Recognised electrical engineering or trade qualification.
• Formal Authorised Person (LV/MV) certification or training.
• Strong knowledge of LV & MV power distribution systems.
• Thorough understanding of safe systems of work and electrical safety legislation.
• Experience with switching schedules, isolations, and energisation procedures.
