Qualifikationen

The EC&I Field Service Engineer, will play a vital role in ensuring our energy assets, including battery energy storage systems (BESS) and power generation sites run efficiently, safely, and compliantly. They will work across commissioning, operations, maintenance, fault-finding, and optimisation, delivering high performance across our energy portfolio.

The role will involve

  • Performing corrective maintenance and fault finding following unplanned equipment failures
  • Maintaining and optimising EC&I equipment to maximise reliability and uptime
  • Supporting commissioning and handover of new energy assets with project and vendor teams
  • Conducting installation, surveying, and repair work where required
  • Accurately recording data and reporting through company systems
  • Providing on‑call and emergency response cover
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and personal accountability in HSEQ standards
What we are looking for
Skills
  • A minimum of 5 years’ discipline engineering experience in electrical, control, or instrumentation fields.
  • A recognised NVQ Level 3, C&G or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Apprenticeship trained (EITB, NVQ, etc.).
  • Experience with electrical LV systems, control panels, VSDs, instrumentation, and calibration.
  • Excellent knowledge of safe systems of work (e.g. permits to work, RAMS).
  • Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Effective problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
Desirable (or willing to train)
  • Experience with generator control systems, telemetry, and telecoms.
  • BS7671 and inspection/testing qualifications.
  • HV systems awareness.
  • Battery storage and/or gas engine generation experience.
  • CompEx practitioner status.
