We are the fairly new Data Analytics & AI (D&A) team. In collaboration with colleagues from all areas of our organization, we develop solutions and approaches in Advanced Analytics to promote data‑based learning and thinking across the organization. Your role will be to actively gain insights from data and build an organization‑wide Cloud Central Data Hub that serves stakeholders in Bonn and in 37 project countries. Challenges such as power cuts and limited internet connections make data collection difficult, but these hurdles provide a unique opportunity for innovative data‑driven solutions.

Your responsibilities
  • Manage data flows in the Marketing department, ensuring a cross‑system, holistic understanding of private donor data.
  • Engage with stakeholders to conceptualize the future of data, identify priorities, and propose new, future‑oriented applications.
  • Define data quality standards and processes together with domain experts, ensuring compliance through a data glossary and training courses.
  • Ensure implementation of data protection requirements, guaranteeing compliance with all regulations.
  • Support the department in developing new measures, channels, and donor journeys, ensuring smooth data integration.
  • Guide colleagues from Marketing, set standards for the use of products, and act as a data ambassador for the organization.
  • Lead advanced analytics projects independently, adopting an exploratory approach and leveraging available data.
  • Mentor junior colleagues and domain experts, sharing experience and knowledge.
Your profile
  • You are passionate about data and want to help our organization progress.
  • You are customer‑oriented, proactive, communicative, and maintain high quality standards while enjoying conceptual work.
  • You align with Welthungerhilfe’s mission and can view your role as a Domain Data Owner for #ZeroHunger.
  • You work goal‑ and result‑oriented, independently, with a high degree of autonomy.
  • You are decisive, delegate when necessary, and involve stakeholders transparently.
  • You possess strong analytical thinking skills and are open to new tasks.
  • You thrive in team environments and value open expression of ideas.
  • You hold a master’s degree in business administration/economics with a focus on analytics, business/computer science, data science, mathematics, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with the Azure tool stack, MS PowerBI, and knowledge of SQL are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with common CRM systems such as Salesforce is ideal.
  • You extract meaningful insights from data that add value to the organization.
  • You are fluent in English; German is required; French is a plus.
What We Offer
  • Fair compensation based on a transparent salary scale.
  • Work‑life balance with flexible working arrangements.
  • A modern, agile work environment that embraces digitalization and innovation.
  • Personal and professional growth through diverse learning and development opportunities.
  • A dedicated and diverse team that blends passion, expertise, and joy to create a better world.
