A research institution in Freiburg is offering several doctoral researcher (PhD) positions in experimental and theoretical particle physics. Looking for signposts towards the New Standard Model of particle physics (New SM)
Funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, the Research Training Group will start at the University of Freiburg on April 1, 2026.
Via this programme, several doctoral researcher (PhD) positions in the field of experimental and theoretical particle and astroparticle physics will be opened.
The positions are offered for 3 + 1 years. The salary will be determined in accordance with E13. The deadline for applications is January 20, 2026; however, later applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.

We are looking for highly motivated candidates with an excellent master degree in physics.
