Zusammenfassung

agap2 Germany is seeking experienced engineers to reinforce our electrical, energy infrastructure and industrial electrification projects in Germany. You will configure DCS solutions and conduct on-site tests at customer facilities, while reviewing designs for compliance and leading multinational discussions to align requirements with feasible solutions.

You will also provide aftersales support, contribute to project delivery, and prepare customer training sessions.

Qualifikationen

• Technical diploma or equivalent in automation or electrical engineering.
• Hands-on experience with HMI systems and SCADA gateways; ZENON required.
• Experience with substation comms: IEC 61850, DNP3, IEC 60870 variants, Modbus.
• Knowledge of SNMP and basic network concepts.
• Strong German language skills; good English for multinational teams.
• EU driving licence required; travel ~50% of time.

To strengthen our engineering teams for upcoming projects across Germany, we are looking for experienced professionals in the fields of electrical engineering, energy infrastructure and industrial electrification.

You will contribute to the configuration, testing and technical support of Distributed Control System (DCS) solutions for electrical substations. The position combines HMI and SCADA engineering, substation communication and on-site testing, with close collaboration across international project teams and customers.

What You’ll Do

• Configure DCS solutions and perform on-site tests at customer facilities
• Review project designs for compliance with applicable local regulations
• Coordinate technical designs across multinational engineering teams
• Lead technical discussions with customers and project stakeholders to align requirements with technical feasibility
• Provide aftersales support and help resolve technical issues
• Support project delivery teams, as well as sales and tendering activities
• Prepare and deliver customer training, including presentations and hands-on sessions

What You Bring

• Technical high school diploma or equivalent qualification, preferably in Automation, IT Systems, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Practical experience with HMI systems and SCADA gateways, such as ZENON (mandatory), SPRECON, SYNDIS RV or PACIS
• Experience with substation communication protocols, such as IEC 61850, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-101/103/104 or Modbus
• Knowledge of network management protocols, including SNMP
• The following experience would be an advantage: GE DCS systems, such as DS Agile; Configuration of network devices, firewalls, routers and domain controllers; Protection relays and their integration into substation automation systems
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with customers and international teams
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly and balance customer requirements with feasible solutions
• Structured working approach, strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Discretion when handling confidential project and customer information
• Very good German skills
• Good English skills for communication with multinational customers and engineering teams
• A driving licence valid in the EU is mandatory
• Willingness to travel to customer sites domestically and internationally for approximately 50% of working time
